Date and place
The programme will be divided into five phases:
- The participants prepare their change projects. Mentor support provided from Sweden.
- Training programme in Sweden between August 24 and September 18 2009.
- The participants work with their change projects during 7 months. Mentor support from Sweden.
- A follow-up regional seminar in one country in Africa during one week in May 2010.
- The participants finalise their change projects during one year. Mentor support from Sweden.
Three of the four weeks in Sweden will be held in Malmö and one week in Stockholm.
Information about the exact location for the programme in Africa will be given later.
Teaching
The training will include different methods of instruction, such as lectures, exercises, group discussions, study visits and project work. Mentor support will be provided for the Change Projects. The support will be given at distance during phase (1), (3) and (5).
Management and staff
The programme is carried out under the management of Grontmij International AB in co-operation with ÅF-Energy AB. Also the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, in Stockholm has an important role in the programme.
The lecturers in the programme have considerable experience in the management of electricity distribution in Sweden, but also in other countries.
